TREATMENTS

Every single strand of the core and external sheath is chemically treated and then polymerised at high temperature. We’ve made a further commitment to replacing dangerous perfluorocarbons (PFCs) with more environmentally-sustainable substances, and have achieved this without compromising the degree of waterproofing we give our braids. The quality and durability of the water-repellent treatment of the lace is made possible only through the individual polymerisation and treatment of each strand that makes up the braid produced in accordance with Gore standards.

We perform all waxing treatments to enhance the braid’s prestige and stability, and use only natural or eco-friendly products.

An infrared treatment that heavier braids undergo to stabilise the fibres, make the yarn softer and more compact to the touch, and ensure a more secure knot when laced.
